On December 22, 2015, members of the department were pressed into service when Santa's sleigh had to dock for repairs. Rescue 12 answered the call from the Sleepy Hollow High School jazz band and chorus to convey St. Nick to his appointed rounds, helping to deliver presents to the good boys and girls at Blythedale Children's Hospital in Valhalla, NY. Whilst the band and chorus played, Captain Keith Okie, Lieutenants Carlos Barros and Devin McManus, and Assistant Chief Driver Scott Ferguson helped high school students and Samta to pass out the gifts.

Blythedale Children's Hospital provides therapeutic services to kids with severe injuries and deformities, and has been the beneficiary of the school kids' great generosity for nearly thirty years. The Sleepy Hollow Fire Department is especially privileged to share in this wonderful tradition.
