On Saturday February 18, 2012 at approximately 1253hrs, a Westchester County employee operating there Mobile Shredder unit in the Municipal Lot across the street from Fire Headquarters alerted firefighters that the unit was on fire. A significant amount of firefighters were in the firehouse at the time and immediately went into action to prevent the fire from spreading to the house next to the Mobile Shredder. Flames could be seen shooting from the roof of the truck, a great concern was a truck full of paper which could combust really fast. Firefighters took an aggressive attack with two hose lines. The fire appears to be electrical related.

At the end of the day everyone's documents got destroyed!
