My great great grandfather was JAMES BIRD, your Chief Engineer 1878-1886. He'd be so proud of my son, a Marine Vet who served in Iraq and who now is a Hot Shot Firefighter in Angeles National Forest, CA. My Matthew must have inherited the firefighter gene! God bless all you do to keep your neighbors safe. Hope to visit Tarrytown for the first time later this year or next and retrace my ancestor's footsteps.

We visited Sleepy Hollow for the Halloween festival and the Horseman's Hollow, and Met (if we remember correctly) Captain Faustino, who introduced us to your beautiful new apparatus. It's a fascinating town you have, and we loved the haunted hayride. We were told you would send your FD patches to us if we signed in... and our chief is overjoyed at that thought!
